1.  Ok. Wait a minute.  Would this problem be solved by getting a new  
Processor?  And isn't that a relatively easy replacement fix?  Unscrew the  
back of the laptop, leverage the processor, replace?

2.  $ lspci | grep VGA:  00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation  
Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

3.  If I wanted to install 3.4 is this how it's done?:

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install linux-libre64-3.4
