Maybe your WiFi chipset is not supported? Install package `lshw' by running in the terminal (or through Synaptic)`sudo apt-get install lshw' and run `sudo lshw' to view your hardware information. Tell us the output. Many WiFi chips require nonfree firmware that Trisquel won't include.
