If you need tor over onioncat install tor:
sudo apt-get install tor
after go to Onioncat Preferences;Advanced;Network and click to Settings:  
enable manual proxy configuration and put in socks host 127.0.0.1 and in port  
9050 enable socks v5 and enable Remote DNS. Clik on ok. Now onioncat use tor.
