Thanks! That was a good solution! While it didn't create an ISO copy of the  
DVD (with menus and such) I did create a rip to a MKV file that played  
totally nicely ;)
Thanks! Handbrake has just become a tool that I will certainly make a part of  
my "default install" on the future :)
