Fortunately that's no longer the case. Luke said he is committed to a long-term road map for the EOMA68 project which will see gradual improvements in the computing power of the devices employing his standard. Now we need a distro like Trisquel to recommend to those adopters.
And apparently there was no impetus for Rubén to do the work. Most of us
are forced to use computers with a non-free BIOS or other such restriction
(for now). I'm guessing there was no desire to do all of the work porting
Trisquel to ARM in order to support another non-free hardware paradigm.
