I looked into the origins and history of Duck Duck Go and the companies funding it, did not like what I found, and added it to my list of reasons of why people should not use DDG. While Google's massive power is scary, the people running Google, even Eric Schmidt, are much easier to trust than people who ran a classmate type database or sold Windows banner ads and user CPU cycles.

and will look into it again.
