Yay! Maybe I'm a little more optimistic/gullible than others here, but AMD  
seem to be relatively warm to the concept of "open source", at least compared  
to Intel- they started that with GPUs at some point in the past, although I'm  
not sure how far that went/was intended to go. The fact that they're the  
little one in the x86 realm surely doesn't hurt either.

I'm heading out to submit right now- I'll post my submission here afterwards,  
in case anyone wants a free-software-oriented pre-drafted wall of text.  
Probably not, but might be helpful.
