Thanks for the links I'll check them out.  If I try to open the files in  
LibreOffice Writer I have a pop up window say, "General error. General  
input/output error."  If I try to open the files in my documents under home I  
get a pop up window in archive manager say that there is no applications  
available to open the file and to click "Show other applications" for more  
options or "find applications online" to install a new application.  Only  
thing is there is no option of "find applications online" and I've tried many  
of the available applications already.
