One component of project Quantum can be activated in Abrowser 55. It is Quantum CSS: https://hacks.mozilla.org/2017/08/inside-a-super-fast-css-engine-quantum-css-aka-stylo/ (the solution has more lines of codes to be faster; naive solutions usually are not fastest).
Several users of Firefox Nightly say Firefox 57 is much faster.
