True, but Purism uses Coreboot, not Libreboot. On the whole, I think Purism is a diversion for Google to advance in the hardware market. Now, Google has started to create its own CPUs https://www.wired.com/2016/05/googles-making-chips-now-time-intel-freak/

Intel is obviously profiting from the Management Engine (ME) on its processors, and Purism (or Google?) wants to try to take down Intel by trying to get them to remove the ME from their CPUs (https://puri.sm/posts/petition-for-intel-to-release-an-me-less-cpu-design/). However, Intel will be basically replaced by Google.
