I thought that if a program works as expected and is open and transparent we don't need additional freedoms. :) I've noticed that people who find the GPL restrictive often fail to be similarly outraged by far more restrictive proprietary licenses. It's almost as if they are really offended by the moral stance rather than the restrictions used to protect that stance. If you do not plan to exploit Magic Banana's contribution to create proprietary software, the GPL does not affect you in any way. If you do (I doubt this. I believe you have good intentions.), then Magic Banana is right to use the GPL to protect himself from becoming complicit. Unrelated, your recent tactic of projecting your actions onto others (e.g. making an off-topic point to be evasive and then accusing them of being off-topic when they respond to it) is very transparent. We share common ground on some issues, but I'm done trying to discuss anything else. I'm going to stop following this thread now, but I will keep an eye on the github repo and try to help out once there is something up there to work with. Personalities aside, I sincerely appreciate the work you're doing.
