That doesn't look to me like anything the GPU would do.
It looks like you've changed your settings quite a bit. Is it possible you might have accidentally changed the language? What you have actually looks to me like there are some characters missing from the font you're currently using, like maybe it's a font with little or no Unicode support and you switched to a language with accented characters.
