[Trisquel-users] Left Alt highlights shortcut key

Hello.
I have a problem with left Alt key.
It seems when I press it, it highlights shortcut keys in the current program  
instead of serving me as keycode inducer
Therefore I can't use alt keycode characters (like ąęćśż). They work  
with right Alt only.
Is there an option to at least achieve the same behaviour on left Alt as it  
is on the right one?
