As announced previously to the TRNSYS community, NREL in coordination with Sandia National Lab with support from the Univ. of WI has developed and continues to develop a tool for performance, economic and cost analysis of solar technologies (specifically photovoltaics and concentrating solar power). This tool is called the Solar Advisor Model and uses TRNSYS as the primary system performance engine. SAM can be downloaded at http://www.nrel.gov/analysis/sam . We are currently looking to hire a programmer to accelerate the development of the Solar Advisor Model. The ideal candidate would have good GUI and database programming skills as well as a general mechanical engineering background. Experience with TRNSYS would be a plus as well.
