TROM Replay B30

Dear Trommers,
This replay B30 ending 2nd May 1996 is the last I have filed in my
Fido
system. I think I only sent from my FIDO archives in the first
series
of replays (this series, prefaced B is a repeat of approximately the
same material).
Next week, replay B31 will be a mailing I sent out Fri, 28 Mar 1997
06:46:49 -0800 and is an article on TROM by Frank Gordon. (In my
systemn
it is filed in Netscape - a folder with 412 messages in it.)
B32 Thu, 3 Apr 1997 13:03:33 +1000 will be Judith Andersen, STEPS
FOR
RUNNING TROM
There is thus a gap of over a year when the list was silent (or I
was
deaf :-) )
On July 2 the first series of Replay start, and I will probably,
under
the "B" prefix, resend the material _which was _not_
replays.
All the best,
Ant

I have had similar experiences, and yes, in my case this was a precursor
to
exteriorization. This phenomenon made more sense to me when I realized I
must
be viewing these body parts from an exterior viewpoint, even though I was
not
completely exterior.
My original conception (misconception, actually) of exteriorization was
that I
would leave the body with perceptics exactly like those experienced when
in
the
body. This is not the way things are. My perceptics and certainty of
being
exterior have gradually increased with practice.

I auditing TROM through Level 4 about a year ago. It's a good set

but not the be-all end-all that Dennis Stephens claimed.

The idea of exterior viewpoints is well worth thinking over. My first
(main)
experience in the direction of exteriorisation was hearing my (bodies)
voice
about a foot in front of and below me. Obviously I had an exterior
'hear'point
above and behind my bodies head.

Thank you for this post, Ant. It clarified my thinking in this
area.
I seem to be capable of two distinct types of exteriorization, 1) I take
up
a remote viewpoint without feeling that I am completely exterior, and
2)
being fully exterior to the body. The difference is rather subtle, and
is
connected to the degree of certainty of being exterior. External
viewpoints
are rather easy for me to assume, full exteriorization is more
difficult.

Dear Trommers,
1. Gary, beware of not beginning!!
2. My experience of exteriorisation is that it can be small and
subtle, or complete and vivid and unquestionable, or shades of
grey!
I have puzzled over some stuck picture, and the auditor said, Were
you exterior at that time? Ah! Yes, that reads, and the picture was
that I was just outside but did not realise it. One can mock up the
picture of what the scene would be when viewed from the ceiling and
then say well one was to some extent at least, exterior and assuming
the viewpoint of being at the ceiling... but that is an excuse for
not being exterior I reckon. Then, one can be exterior and really
know it, being totally outside of the body and yet controlling it
from a distance, or again, as a child, having fallen when climbing,
shot twenty feet in the air, seen the body lying still, and thinking
Well I had better get back in that body and make it cry. I did, but
the act of interiorising is a blank, then it was as if I woke up and
found myself on the ground, crying.
Regards,
Ray.

External viewpoints
>are rather easy for me to assume, full exteriorization is more
difficult.
The way I see it is simply that a being can assume viewpoints. The
being
isn't a viewpoint, but can assume any one, or many at the same
time.
One might put more or less attention on the different viewpoints.
Exteriorization, the way I see it, would simply be that one puts
more
attention on one or more viewpoints outside the body than on the
ones
inside the body. It is a gradient scale, although there might be
phenomena
of a sudden shift.
The concept of a Thetan actually introduced some hang-ups for many
people,
in that most people would understand it as being one viewpoint
(supposedly
the real ME) that's stuck inside the body, but which might get out. I
think
that is unnecessarily limiting, and is in itself the cause of most of
the
difficulty in exteriorizing and the cause of int/ext phenomena.
Int/ext phenomena happen when the person thinks he's one viewpoint and
he
suddenly finds himself having several viewpoints (at least one inside
the
body and one outside), and he gets confused and wavers in trying to
decide
which one is the RIGHT one. The phenomena go away when he becomes
familiar
with having both of them at the same time and stops trying to choose
between them.
Timebreaking is incidentally helpful in that, in that it
re-familiarizes
the person with having several viewpoints at the same time.
