Thanks Colleen,

for supplementing my post. Makes me aware that I forgot to add something
important to the session prep. check list and seemingly I was not precise
enough specifying Dianetics in the context.

I did not mean Book One style Diantics. I had only New Era Dianetic (NED)
on my mind. The core of it is Routine 3R. R3R's most essential part
of its end-phenomenon is to get the _postulate_ that was made by the PC
in the particular incident. F/N, VGI's, Cogs, ... the whole enchilada,
does not mean a thing when one fails to get the postulate.

Finally it's all about postulates. Not very surprising if we agree with
Dennis Stevens presupposition:

"This universe only consists of life and postulates."

Others came to similar conclusions. A large part of Jane Roberts Seth books is dealing with postulates and the consequences thereof. Roberts/Seth calls it not
postulates but rather believes, believe systems, suggestions, ...
Other authors are talking about affirmations or afformations.

Now, regarding the TROM session preparations - and this may be indeed of
interest for Dave L. - I hope he's listening.

It is very important to clarify the words and the command's meaning of the
process instructions prior to starting the process (of course you do not need to do this every time you start a session with the same process. You do it once
and thoroughly).

Use word clearing tech on *every* word of the command(s).
Usually it's done in reveres order as they appear in the command sentence.
Then make sure you really understand the precise meaning of the command as
a whole. In case of insecurities please feel free to ask here on the forum.
Why do I emphasize this point? The meaning and significance you have on your mind is important. It does not matter in which language you give yourself the auditing command or question as long as you get the meaning right. That means you must precisely duplicate the meaning the creator of a particular technology or process had in mind when he developed it. Otherwise you would run something
different from what source (D. Stevens in our case of TROM) has intended
to be run. It would only be by accident when you win in your solo sessions if
you run a misunderstood process command. Most likely it 'll do nothing.
Worst case you could deteriorate your case state.

Another candidate for a top ranking on the hit-parade of show stoppers in
solo auditing for a newbie is "uncertainty about how long to run a process".
This problem is twofold. One can terminate a process too early (underrun)
or do it too long (overrun). Much had been written about both phenomenons
and their indicators and this and that by Ron Hubbard and probably others as
well.

To keep this as simple as possible - the general rule is:
You run any process as long as it produces change. Change can mean almost
anything here - mood changes, bodily feelings coming and going, changes in
the time period that passes from giving/asking a auditing command/question
until satisfactorily executing/answering it (tech. term for this is 'comm-lag').

Regarding the judgment of: "is this a change or not", do not get too sophisticated. Use common sense. If one starts to measure comm-lag in micro seconds no process
you can possibly run in this universe will ever come to an end.

Best regards

Robin

Since there are two Dave's on this list I added the initial for this Dave's
last name.

Robin, thank you for keeping to the simple regarding resolving the mind.
The Tao Te Ching also recommends this. I sincerely admire how you addressed
Dave's struggle with Level Two. One needs to work up into increasing
command power over the mind and its mentations.

The other reality - and I am not saying this is Dave's reality - is that
there are complicated minds and complicated minds like to "ITSA" and you
know Dianetics allowed this to some degree while the person blew charge and possibly got to see some fixed postulates releasing. Dianetics did not put
enough emphasis on "postulate off" as does John Galusha's opus, Idenics,
which directs one straight into the confusion and the postulates made
during the time-stop. This is straight out of Dennis lectures on IP's and
Sensation. Enough said about that - food for thought.

Thank you for the book references and I followed up on them and here is a
link to James P. Carse's book review:
http://jamescarse.com/wp/?page_id=61

Jane Roberts book is available as a Pdf download.

Again, thank you for keeping to the simple, which is what Dennis did. You
will be the "Master" that is spoken of in the Tao Te Ching, both a
voluntary games player, with the option for a no-games state - totally
complementary.

Happy tromming for all
colleen
