EVP_MD_CTX md_ctx;
I've always used EVP_MD_CTX as an opaque type. I allocate it with
EVP_MD_CTX_new() and free it with EVP_MD_CTX_free.
Someone on the .user list is getting a compiler error. A maintainer
should take a look. Perhaps stack allocation isn't guaranteed to work.
