A little while back, Dave Mielke suggested that I combine the output of the current b, l, s, and t commands into one status message, which would be printed with the s command, if I remember right. I'd like to know what other users think of this idea, and in what format (or formats) the status information should be displayed. On a related topic, what do you all think of the two output formats currently supported in trplayer 1.1.0? The idea behind this was that by default, the output would sound natural to users of speech synthesizers, and the compact output format would be best for sighted people and users of Braille displays. Is it helpful to have these two output formats? If so, which should be the default, and is there any way I can improve them? If not, which one should I drop?
