As many of you know, I haven't made any significant improvements to
TRPlayer for at least a few months. I don't use it very much, and
when I do, it does what I want it to do just fine. Also, I'm sure
there are programmers much more skilled than me that could add useful
features to TRPlayer and perhaps fix some bugs. Finally, there are
some other projects that I'd like to work on, once I'm done with this
semester in college.
So, would anyone like to take over the TRPlayer project? If so, I
would greatly appreciate it. If not, I'll get back to it sometime,
but for the reasons I mentioned above, I'm probably not the best
person for the project.
If you're interested, please reply to the list, and I'll talk with you
privately about what we need to do to transfer ownership of TRPlayer.
I'd be willing to explain any parts of the code or the RealPlayer SDK
that you don't understand, and I'm still willing to maintain the
Debian package, which is difficult to do if you don't actually run the
Debian Linux distribution.
I hope you won't think that I'm being overly selfish about this, but
I'm not really motivated to work on TRPlayer anymore, and for the good
of TRPlayer and its users, I think it should be improved and
maintained by someone who is motivated to work on it.
