If you have a Slackware 7.1 Linux installation, with trplayer 1.2.0 and
RealPlkayer8 installed, I would very much appreciate it if you would try
processing the attached ram file. When I do it, this is what I get:
$ trplayer -q lotr.ram
Some components are not available to provide playback of this presentation
on your system.
----------
Dave Mielke has been helping me troubleshoot this one but we are not
getting very far, except to confirm that my RealPlayer8 directory martches
his, and the above command works fine on his system, which is not a
Slackware system. I have used 'strace -F' to try to surprise the failure,
but it has eluded us. It appears that my Slackware installation is
incomplete or defective, but I have no idea where the problem might lie.
If you use Slackware with trplayer and RealPlayer8, please try accessing
the attached link and let me know if it works for you or if you get the
same error I am getting.
Thanks - Chuck
BTW - My Linux installation does not include X, TeX, or Emacs. I am using
kernel 2.2.18 with speakup and an sblive sound card with alsa drivers.
