Thanks Marlin. I realize that the Jews don't have a knowledge of Jesus (the
unsaved ones.) That's why the Messianic congregations are preferable. I am
not saying we should follow their traditions, but just experience the Jewish
way of life and relating to each other. My comments are about experiencing
the culture out of which He came, and their way of thinking. Just as taking
a trip to Europe changes your way of looking at the world, experiencing the
Jewish way of life changes the way you look at Jesus and the early church.
:-) Izzy

"The whole culture of Judiasm is a Wealth of knowing Jesus better! The Seder

Judiasm screams a message about Him for those who have ears to hear. I can't
express it well--maybe David Miller or other TT'ers can." Izzy

Dear Izzy,

There is a difference between scripturalism and Judaism. Some of the
traditions retained by Jews often shed light on scripture, however, those in
Judaism cannot see the whole picture when they reject the Messiah.
Messianic Jews fare much better. Jesus, though He was a Jew, in and part of
the culture, came against certain behaviors there. The main danger comes
from following the traditions of men as though they are from God, when there
is nothing doctrinal to back it up. Every religion falls into this. In
fact, some studies can show the same historic roots to Judaism and
Catholicism; where sun worship is wrapped up in the hidden meanings of
traditions. Just a word of caution. --Marlin
