Nice article, Marlin, and I enjoyed surfing this fellow’s family website. Do you know him, or how did you come across this?

I love the Amish. I’m sure I romanticize them, but I do so admire them that I used to be mad at God for not letting me be born Amish. My husband and I have enjoyed several trips to Arcola, Illinois for the annual quilt show at Rockome Gardens (Amish owned). This is beautiful Amish countryside, just 3 hrs drive from St. Louis. I’ve read a lot about the Amish, and my favorite prayer book is Amish. My favorite part is titled, “Rules of a Godly Life”, and is very inspiring. Of course, as a quilter I am admirer of Amish quilts, also.

PS If I were Amish, I’d probably manage to get myself shunned in no time! J
