THIS IS GRACE IRRESPECTIVE OF FAITH! There is NO FAITH required for this "salvation") They teach Exaltation - this is the works part, works here determine your eternal destiny & final destination. This is a religious spirit talking. US versus THEM. Try looking at it
as what is true and what is false.
Is the Mormon religion false? Yes it is. Is their faith misplaced?

Do they really believe in truth in the Jesus of the Bible? Many
probably do not, for as you say, they do not understand his relationship
to the Father. However, this is not to say that all Mormons are lost.
Some may actually see, through faith, who Jesus really is. Surely
anyone who holds to the Mormon doctrines as expounded by Brigham Young
and others are bound to hell, but we must recognize that not all Mormons
do this.
In fact, consider the branch of Mormonism that Joseph Smith's son and
wife went with. They believe and teach the Trinity just like you do.
You can't necessarily lump all of them together. And even in the LDS
branch, there are bound to be some who do not embrace the false
doctrines to the point that it might jeopardize their ability to apply
faith in Jesus Christ.
What do Mormons teach about salvation?
1. Faith in Jesus Christ. Is this true or false doctrine? It is true.
2. Repentance from sin. Is this true or false doctrine? It is true.
3. By grace through faith. Is this true or false doctrine? It is
true.
Now we might start getting to some error, for example, when we get to
baptism and other subjects. However, my point is that SOME POINTS which
Mormons articulate, we ought to be able to agree. If we can't, then I
suggest that something is wrong on our part. I think we are being too
religious if we can't agree with Mormons on whatever truth they do have.
