DAVEH:  Again.....thank you for being so open and explaining this.  Do the elders or deacons ever ordain women?  It seems some religions are OK with ordained women, and some are not.  Which way do you lean, Dean?  Would you feel comfortable having an ordained female minister perform your marriage?  (FWIW.....I imagine that you are not a supporter of ordained women.....Did I guess correctly?) Dean writes: If she proves herself then I have no problem with it-but you are correct in the sense that I was raised not to allow a women to preach.
DAVEH:  I don't want to put words in your mouth Dean, but I assume you feel that way simply because the Bible suggests such, rather than you feel they don't have the proper authority to do such?  Is there anything women can't do due to the lack of proper authority?  (I assume there are women street preachers?)
There were women prophetesses in the bible and women deacons. For me to accept her she would have to do more then just preach for money-twice a week.If she were a TV evangelist I would not accept her as I don't except men TV evangelist. The brothers I know give their all for God and many live hard lives due to the gospels sake- to use the gospel to get rich is not Christlike as many people in this world need help.
