DAVEH: I respectfully disagree. If we use your (Protestant derived) definitions of heaven and hell, it will be easy to explain. I do not believe non-Mormons will be cast into a literal lake of fire and brimstone. Now, to you does that not imply that anyone not cast into that fiery hell will be in (some level) of heaven???
