Thanks for sharing your perception/experience John.  I've seen too much of this in christian circles and you don't
very often hear from the one who was hurt.  I used to like Amy Grant's music but have no heart for it anymore.
She may be forgiven and restored in her relationship with God but I wonder if it would  be better for the body of
Christ and unbelievers who may be influenced also if prominent people who have been involved in this kind of
thing just quietly disappeared, retired, or whatever.  judyt

Thank you.   I did not mean to come on strong against what Laura had said.  All this is about a personal bias. The kids mom of 23 years knew exactly what she was doing and knew that the church had "no choice but to forgive her" when she came asking  --  and she is right.   It is not even a matter of forgiveness for me  --  you just get hurt beyond your ability to deal with it as you should.  It is never on my mind but when she walks into a room in my presense, its 1987 all over again  -- same rage and all.   I control it.

We have 5 awesome kids.   It has effected each in a different way.   But things are good now and my wife of 3 years is one of the most dedicated Christians I have every known.   Too bad she got the dirty end of the stick with me  -- but I don;t care.

I have a smile on my face and in my heart most of the time.

Thanks again.

a brother, John
