David, seriously, please identify 15-20 authors who've influenced you.
It would be an aid. Paaaalllllllllleeeeeeeeeessssssssseeeee?

I suspect the following isn't what you want, but....

Moses
Job
David
Solomon
Isaiah
Jeremiah
Ezekiel
Daniel
Hosea
Joel
Amos
Obadiah
Micah
Nahum
Habakkuk
Zephaniah
Haggai
Zachariah
Malachi
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Paul
Peter
James
Jude

I'm not posting the authors above to be funny. They have had the greatest impact upon me.

Some more modern authors would include Henry Mushinsky, Glen Wolfenden, Earl McCoy, J.W. Cliburn, Carl Gans, Harry Greene, Karl Popper, Thomas Kuhn, John Platt, Stephen Gould, Douglas Futuyma, Phillip Johnson, Robert Gentry, Philip Schaff, Henry Sheldon, Alfred Edersheim, J.B. Lightfoot, John Lightfoot, John Gill, John Wesley, Adam Clark, Charles Finney, Jonathan Edwards, James Arminius, John Calvin, Martin Luther, ... oops, I think I went over 20. There are many more, of course. I'm not sure how this list would help you.

By the way, why are you interested only in authors? Some of the most influential people in my life were not authors so I did not put them on the list. Come to think of it, Jesus was not an author. :-)

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
