God is into the freedom thing. Right now, Izzy, for you to determine if the change of a day, you are tied to a chronometer somewhere that says some arbitrary moment in the middle of the night is the change of the day.

God, in His liberating way, gives us a precise time to determine the change of the day... and ANYONE with sight, can determine it. Look to the west at dusk. Watch the disc of the sun. When the last bit falls below the horizon and only the glow is left, the day changes. Precise. Exact. No need to purchase a watch. Freeing.

Even Adam could do it.
That makes a lot of sense, but I am left feeling a little uneasy because along about the fourth day, God called the light day and the darkness night.  Now you tell me it's day when night falls.:-)

As a matter of fact, while you're standing in that direction, thank God for the new day. If you dedicate this time to Him, you're giving Him the "first fruits" of the new day.
