"likeness" of sinful flesh EQUALS sin dwelling in it?

Yes it did.

Romans 8:3-4
(3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
(4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Now before you balk that it was only a "likeness" of sinful flesh and not
really sinful flesh, consider the following points:

1. The word here for "likeness" does not mean pretend.

2. Consider the force of the argument where this context is used. It is
talking about God condemning sin in OUR FLESH, that we might walk in
righteousness. Therefore, the argument necessitates that Jesus had a body
of sinful flesh just like ours. Consider carefully and prayerfully what he
is saying in these two verses.

I think we have here a clear picture explaining that not only did Christ
come in the flesh, but it was human flesh of the seed of David and Abraham;
therefore, it had all the same qualities of men descended from them, which
would be a sinful nature.

In some past posts you spoke of "generational" versus "genealogical"
inheritance. I think this is at the crux of our differences. I see no
inheritance from Adam except for our genes. This "generational" thing
mentioned in Scriptures extends only a few generations. Therefore, my flesh
is inherited from Adam, but not my spirit and not my soul. The sinful
tendencies I inherit are in my flesh, but any sinful tendencies of the
spirit or soul are taken on after birth. They are in a sense learned or
environmentally induced through association with the flesh and with this
world. Would you like to talk about this more?

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
