David Miller:
No, Caroline. The "Sinner's prayer" is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.
Modern theologians and talking about evangelism has confused you. The Bible
teaches that men need to repent of their sins and believe upon Christ. This
is a life changing event. The gospel of Paul teaches converts to bring
forth works meet for repentance (see Acts 26:20).

Caroline:
What if someone didn't really know what it means to repent and what is really a sin and who really is Jesus? Are they still saved? Or does salvation come later when they really are sorry for their sins and when they really know who Christ Jesus is. Shocking but I still meet people who don't know Jesus created the universe. Or that He is of one substance with the Father and of one substance with us but neither substance is affected or mixed with the other. They just don't get that.
