I fail to see the difference between being tempted by Satan and being tested by Satan. They are exactly the same thing, in this case. Are you saying that this is a test to qualify or disqualify Jesus as the Messiah of the Kingdom of God?
In His everyday life, Jesus is tempted just as we are. He can love Mary M too much. He can get too angry in the Temple. He can get too impatient with His disciples. He can decide, in the end, to do His own will and not that of the Father.
The three temptations are noteworthy, however,
1. because they are being used by Satan to challenge Jesus as the SON OF GOD.
2. because Satan is identifiable (often he is not).
3. because it shows Satan for the befoon he truly is. Look - if angels are only a little higher that we humans, and Satan is a fallen angel -- what does that mean in relation to man? Satan is more often than not, rather stupid. He is very impatient - which means to me that he will eventually leave you along for another victim. All of his power is fraudulent. All of his truth is a lie or based on a lie. And he is easily defeated. Death is not even his power -- but the result of a life lived. Do I believe in a Devil? Not one who has any effect in my life or upon my life. Christ did Satan in. He has bound the strong man and taken the "power of death" form him.
What do you think ??

Make no mistake thisis nothing more than speculation by religious men who have no understanding about spiritual realities.Don't mean to butt in, but what about the passage that describes Christ as being "tempted in all things, yet sinless?" How can a man be tempted, if he has none of the fallen nature within himself to be tempted? Also, before he began his ministry, Jesus was commanded to go into the wilderness to fast for forty days and nights (the same as with Moses on the mountain of revelation). Why the need to purify himself, if there was not a fallen nature to purify?cd: The word tempted also means to test or try/prove-when used by God it is to test-when used by Satan is it an attempt to lead into sin-Tempatation.Christ was tested-proved Himself face to face with Satan-then began His ministry.
