After 6 years of experience with this framework design, I know that such behaviors are always wrong because they generate inconsistency. For example, if you make a default value depends on the value of a field on "parent", what will happens if you change the value of the "parent"? The default value of the line is no more consisting. Indeed it is the all design that is not consisting.
