I'm using ext3, the default install. Just want to get
it working. I think it has something to do with the
version of GRUB. I've had a similar (not the same)
problem with RHEL4 and it happened to be the version
of GRUB coming with RHEL4 didn't have a patch for my
RAID controller (I2O). I used a grub from FC3 which
had the patch.

This time the situation is a lot simpler. I'll keep
testing and I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile any input
is a highly appreciated.
