All, Eric Raymond has written us back, and is willing to come present for us. This is awesome. FAC did not approve our request for money to sponser this event. Not so cool. So, we have a lot of details to work out, but things are looking good. Ben and I are talking with ACM to co-sponser the event, and we've already found a source to help fund publicity. We'll discuss this more at our next meeting (which is on Thursday, Nov 8th); I just wanted to pass on the good and not-so-good news.
