maven.xml is a file written by you in your project directory.

Unlike the author of the original email, I'm unable to find the
maven.xml.
Where does it live? It's not in the zip I download. My actual problem is
to figure out just which file I put the <preGoal>s in.

I'm looking to xdoclet before I compile.
