I think my file structure is a pretty common one. I have a "Programmer's Guide" that I have off the main xdocs directory, in xdocs/guide. I also have an "API Reference" in the xdocs/reference directory. Both of these documents can stand-alone, that is, I originally wrote them as stand-alone documents. When I converted to Maven I merely copied them into the xdcos directory and modified them to use the xdocs tags. Each of these documents has its own images directory, in xdocs/reference/images and xdocs/guide/images. I could surely modify them to use the xdocs/images directory but that seems less satisfactory to me since doing so means I have to... ...put all the images for all my docs in the same directory. ...tie my documentation to a particular file layout that has nothing to do with the document itself. I much prefer having a separate images directory relative to each each document. For now I am just performing an extra copy to the relative directory under the docs directory. I think you should consider adding support image directories other than xdocs/images but its not a real big deal for me either way. BTW, I am not using Maven for builds yet since my project has multiple source directories and converting to Maven doesn't seem to have the same bang for the buck as the documentation features. However, Maven has really improved the quality of my web site and documentation, http://jlense.sourceforge.net. Thanks much. ted stockwell __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
