An example is good :) I was after a maven.xml though, rather than a project.xml. I'm trying to understand how to hook preGoals in etc so I can tackle hooking xdoclet in again. However it sounds as though this might be a common problem in the system. If I can have a preGoal call an ant task to do it, then it will be workable.
