Maven FTP support

Hello,
I've done some work in order to add FTP support in maven, for dependencies downloading 
and artifact deploying.
I'd like to make my work available to the community, and eventually have it included 
in future maven releases,
but I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my source modifications, so I'm 
asking!
If maven developers give me their ok response, I'll post my work.
