Hey Folks,

I'm not sure if this issue is discussed earlier, so please don't blame me.
:-)

I'm referencey to
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01698.h
tml
regarding project layout. This article talks about how to handle several
subproject modudles if they
are seperated cvs-modules.

Wouldn't it be possible to enhance maven's reactor to take pserver or ext
cvs respositories so that you
can don't need to check out first the whole thing and maven does it
correclty?
It would be fine if that approach would using cvsgrap project, because I'm
behind a firewall ;-).

Another solution would be to allow dependenies to check out a single
depencey by cvs module given the repository
path. By doing this the POM have to be extended. The odd thing about this,
that it's completly recursive. Recrusion is
cool but could be dangerous. What if if the cvs-dependcy you choosen have
several sub-projects in cvs-modules?
This could easily lead to java.lang.OutOfMemoryError or
java.lang.StackOverFlowError. :-(

Which solution would be the better desing and what would you think about
this suggestion?

Bye & Thx
Toby
