Hi,
We have been using Eclipse for the last few months and found it excellent.
It's hard to get your head round to start with but it has many good
features such as:
It's free! Which is a good thing especially if you're working for an
investment bank at the moment
Easy to setup and upgrade, very flexible
Good integration with CVS
Fast GUI
Lots of plugins eg Tomcat, Ant, various useability enhancements
I'm sure many IDE's do this but as a free solution it's great. I have also
heard good things about IDEA - the Jira people use it so it can't be bad.
It's not free though :(
Interesting to hear other people's ideas too (sorry).

This may or may not go in this list, so my apologies if it's misplaced.
I'm using Maven along with a number of the other jakarta projects, and I'm
curious what IDE most people are using to actually write code? I've noticed
(and used) the JBuilder goal in Maven, but was somewhat surprised that
there was no similar Forte Goal. I have seen references to JBuilder in a
number of messages here as well, leading me to the assumption that most
are using JBuilder.
Everyone at my work uses Forte, I'm the only person who uses JBuilder (and
I had to buy my own copy to do so).
And along the same lines... is there a best practices doc somewhere
dealing integrating IDEs and ANT/Maven/Struts, etc?
