Hi, I am reasonably new to Maven, but am getting stuck right into it - its
very, very good.
I have a bunch of questions - I will try and group them logically in
seperate emails:
General Questions
Q1: How do I make sure that the maven build fails if a dependancy jar is
not found in the repository. (currently, the build continues on regardless
of failure)
Q2: Is there a maven goal to clear the local repository? (or is a manual
delete required?)
Q3: I notice on the Maven site (for maven) there is a javadoc report under
Project Reports. How is this linked in?
Q4: How is it possible to link other reports into the Project Reports
(without changing the velocity template)? In particular I want to run some
Intellij Code Inspections
Q5: Since all the jars are kept in the local maven repository (rather than
with ant, they would be in a lib directory) how do people generally
integrate their ide
Q6: The documentation and the latest download seem to be out of synch with
regard to dependacies containing multiple jars. Is the documentation ahead
of the distro or the other way round. I am using maven beta7. Is there a
quick-fix for b7 to handle this?
Q7: I want to add extra information to the developer/contributor entries in
the project file (like phone number). Is this possible without changing the
velocity templates?
Q8: What does the "type" field int the depandancy declaration used for?
(see the schema)
Q9: If we want to have some standardised documenation across projects (ie,
references to standards, development tools etc) at the same level in the
navigation as Project Information, what is the best way to do this.
Currently, the only way I can see is to cut&paste / copy the relevent xdoc
documentation..
Q10: Regarding the deploy task(s), how is the password handled for ssh and
scp?
