A while back I worked on a source code definition for maven. It was based on the properties available from checkstyle combined with properties from jrefactory's pretty printer. It ensured that the pretty printer generated code that would pass the checkstyle tests based on a single set of properties.The was sparked by the commons-dev request to have a standard place describing a project's coding standard. So this might be something that we could add to the POM.
