Remebmer that there is *no* chance to get your sumission in unless you work with HEAD codebase. If you mean to develop maven, sticking with beta-7 is a waste of effort. Another thing to note is that you should pick a Maven developer that has experience in the particular piece you want to improve and send the patches directly to him. This greatly increases the chance to getting your changes checked in. May patches posted to the list or JIRA go by unnoticed. Thanks for contributing, and good luck!
