Hi, for anyone interested in Turbine here in (southern) Germany:
I will have a (one hour) talk about Turbine and Velocity on the KNF Kongress 2001 in Nuernberg. I will talk about basic software development with Turbine and Velocity and be available for questions the whole day. It's not a Turbine tutorial but focuses on "what is Turbine, how does it work, how does it interact with applications, what is in there for a developer" and some comparisation with the "estabilished" Java programming styles (JSP, EJB etc.). I will cover Turbine 2 but mention the ongoing development towards Turbine 3. The talk is Sunday, 25. November 2001, 14:00 at the Cafe Cosmo Kornmarkt 7 90402 Nuernberg Germany The whole congress is 20DM entry fee for the whole day. More information (unfortunately only in German) is on http://www.franken.de/kongress/index.html There are fifteen one-hour talks about Internet, Open Source and Programming (mine is unfortunately the only Java talk) alltogether, a BoF session and more. Slides will be available from the web site (unfortunately, again only in german (yet)). Regards Henning -- Dipl.-Inf. (Univ.) Henning P.
