If you are using Turbine 2.2 or higher, use commons logging. http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/
If you are using Turbine 2.1, Use org.apache.turbine.util.Log. It has static methods to perform the logging. I would hihgly suggest that you upgrade to Turbine 2.2. > -----Original Message----- > From: peter riegersperger [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 7:19 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: a logging question > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > hi there! > > could someone please explain to me how turbine-logging works? > > when i do: > import org.apache.turbine.util.Log; > Log log = new Log(); > log.error("error.", e); > > shouldn't my message get logged in turbine.log? > > and what do i have to configure if i'd like a logfile for > messages produced by > my webapp? > > thanks, > > rick > > > - -- > |- > | peter riegersperger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > |- > | subnet > | platform for media art and experimental technologies > |- > | http://www.subnet.at/ > |- > | muehlbacherhofweg 5 // 5020 salzburg // austria > |- > | fon/fax +43/662/842 897 > |- > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) > > iD8DBQE+gajXIMP39JYOy9IRAm9hAKDGEMXrZzDsFYn6wnW2R3cSddiBlQCfRrq1 > iG1Vid32QTAbD4HXebuwe6w= > =W8l5 > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
