are you sure? I have an object in user.Temp which is populated by setProperties and the user can re-edit it many times before saving.... works ok. perhaps there is sth wrong with your code?
BTW: I have compiled turbine-2.2.1 from the sources. without it intake did not want to work with jdk 1.4.2
