BTW are you working from within eclipse in debug mode ?
I get similar class loader exceptions from within eclipse 
but running Tomcat directly from the command line works fine

Has someone got similar problems ? or a solution :-)

have you tried what I have written before? putting all extended user 
classes into a jar in WEB-INF/lib?
see my post from yesterday and try... and let us know the result! I am 
courious myself...

when I tracked the exception it seemed that the security manager was 
just unable to locate the ExtendedUser class... and it works for me now!
the same with resin...
