Torque is a technology that has been around for a while, and like most open
source projects, the older ones lose interest as new ones develop..
Hibernate is the big one right now..   But EJB3 may take over..

Having said that, Torque does what it does pretty well..  But, if you are
starting from scratch, I recommend using Hibernate.
