appData.ser is generated from your Intake forms to allow faster loading
of the XML files. If you change the contents of your Intake schemas, you
must remove this file or you will get this error.

If you are developing with Turbine 2.3 or late, you can use

services.IntakeService.serialize.path= none

to turn this behaviour off which is meant for debugging.
