JSON deals with the marshalling of the parameters and response for you -
after you get over the hurdle of setting up the infrastructure it then
becomes fairly easy to add further AJAX hooks in your application.
I have this running in a production application.
What did you want against the JIRA issue? You can probably create the
issue yourself. I don't have too much time to spare to work on this,
but I can throw my fairly rough code into the melting pot if you and
Thomas want to work it up into something more understandable by the masses.
